TomskNIPIneft is the easternmost in Western Siberia, which is performing a full cycle of scientific and design works for oil and gas industry companies. The range of projects - from geological prospecting works and estimation of the hydrocarbon potential of regions up to projects for the development of major oil and gas-condensate fields, from integrated project of oil and gas fields construction up to petroleum storage depots and filling stations, from infield up to main oil and gas pipelines, from gas treatment plant up to oil and gas-condensate refining unit into engine fuel.

The Institute purposefully develops, which is one of the basic principle of its work. According to the development program confirmed for 2010-2014 is carried out intensive activity in the following directions:

  • development of material and technical base;
  • personnel training and retraining;
  • development of IT-technologies;
  • re-equipment of laboratory and analytical complex;
  • transition to a three-stage design;
  • development of geochemical surveys;
  • planning of geological exploration for deep-lying deposits (PZ);
  • scientific research.

The Institute is actively perfromed scientific research in most areas of activity. 40 scientific researches confirmed with patents of the RF for invention and useful models, 21 certificates of state registration for software development received, scientific research works of the Institute's employees are regularly publishing in peer-reviewed journals and participate in the prestige scientific events. On an average every year two employees of the Institute take PhD degree.

The laboratory complex of JSC "TomskNIPIneft" includes eight laboratory subdivisions, five of which carry out analyses and storage of well cores and reservoir fluids, and activities the rest of three focused on providing of survey works (ground survey), environmental monitoring (soil, surface water and air) and design of well construction (drilling and cement slurry). Current high-tech (including unique) and classical laboratory equipment of leading domestic and foreign manufacturers allows to obtain the data with precision, often surpassing the requirements of acting standards.

A quality management system (QMS) developed, implemented and operated in the Institute, that meets to the requirements of international standard ISO 9001:2008 in respect to design and exploratory engineering in the field of geology, development and construction of oil and gas fields. QMS is certified by LLOYD'S REGISTER QUALITY ASSURANCE (Great Britain).

The Institute successfully cooperates with the major equipment manufacturers for oil and gas industry, applies advanced technologies and the latest developments of domestic and foreign companies, and uses the most modern equipment that meets to all international standards and provides reliable operation of objects developed by the Institute.
