Laboratory Research

Core and reservoir fluid research is performed by TomskNIPIneft Laboratory Research Department. This is a continually developing advanced research center, which offers complex service of core processing, storage and research, reservoir fluid research, oil-and-gas potential estimation, determination of fluids loss on the upstream objects, development of accompanying gas recovery technologies.

All laboratories are equipped with up-to-date and classical devices for research in compliance with current state and corporative regulations. The labs are constantly developing, new (sometimes unique) equipment and methods are implemented. Basic directions of this development include broadened range of research, increased accuracy and productivity, simulation of experiment formation conditions, increase in science linkage of production. A most important factor is cooperation with the largest native (Rosneft, TNK-BP) and foreign (Shell, Beicip Franlab, Coretest Systems, Corelab Instruments and others) companies as demanding customers and experience-sharing partners.

The key to success of the laboratory complex is high team's qualification. As it closely cooperates with Siberian universities, its staff consists mainly from graduates scientific departments, having various experience of work in research institutes and industry. All 50 laboratory staff members have higher education while six having a scientific degree. It doesn't only provide high methodological level of research, but also makes possible to analyze the world market in this sphere and offer high-tech research techniques (including patented know-how).
